HK Zemgale, Led by Talented Roster, Takes the Top Prize

In the heart of summer, on July 20-21, 2024, Mārupe once again successfully hosted the HYPE 3x3 hockey tournament, organized by the Latvian 3x3 Hockey Federation. 

The summer heat didn't deter eight teams from showcasing dynamic and exciting hockey action. This July tournament also provided a platform for young Latvian hockey players to demonstrate their skills alongside more experienced competitors, including the talented defenseman Darels Uļjanskis. The player who stood out as the most valuable in terms of offensive production was Aleksis Burkits, who led the tournament with an impressive 7 points (5 goals and 2 assists).

Ultimately, the top prize of the tournament was claimed by the team HK Zemgale, showcasing their strong teamwork and competitive spirit throughout the event.

The winning roster for HK Zemgale included: Dans Ločmelis, Rainers Dārziņš, Arvils Bermanis, Emīls Veckaktiņš, Rinalds Vutkevičs, Darels Uļjanskis, Daniels Goršanovs, Ingus Ločmelis, Kevins Strādnieks, and Aksels Ozols. The hard-fought second place in the tournament was secured by the team LV BET : Denis Fjodorovs, Oļegs Šišļaņņikovs, Kirils Galoha, Kristians Zelts, Vladislavs Koniševs, Emils Ģegeris, Daniels Berziņš, Nikita Zantmans, Janis Voris

The Latvian 3x3 Hockey Federation continues its mission to develop this exciting format of hockey and eagerly anticipates future on-ice gatherings, including the upcoming HYPE 3x3 tournament in Tartu in June 2025.

Marupe, June 28, 2026 — For the fourth time, the Hype 3x3 Hockey Tournament descended upon Marupe — and for the fourth time, it delivered everything fans could ask for: speed, drama, and a champion worthy of the title. When the final buzzer sounded on Sunday evening, it was Sherwood lifting the trophy after a gripping 3–2 victory over HK Kolumbs in a final that had spectators on the edge of their seats from first drop to last.
